Tying Heartstrings

One of the ways we've endeavoured to tie strings to our children's hearts is to ensure we take a family vacation each year.  There's just something about getting away from some of the routine of everyday life, spending time together without the constant demands of our farm, etc.  We love spending time together, whether working or playing.

We arrived home yesterday from our most recent holiday, it was definitely a time of refreshing.  During the many hours we spent driving, we listened to the Bible on cd, as well as numerous encouraging sermons and lectures. It's good to be challenged afresh by the Word.

Below are some photos of our recent trip.  I'd only planned on posting a few, but these are all so sweet that I just couldn't resist putting them all up.  Happy browsing!

  8. Oh Kathy, I know! You can't know the restraint I used each time we emailed back and forth. I didn't want to put any more pressure on you than you were already under, but I wanted to BEG you to find a way to get there when we were there!

Ya know, you can get these 1/2 price passport card thingymajigs which are good for crossing into Canada. Then, when you do take that roadtrip to Florida, you could swing down this way, spend a week or so with us, then meander back home. T'would make for a longish trip, but we'd try to make it worth your while :-).
