My beloved mother has passed from this life into eternal life in Christ Jesus. She was my hero. I'll miss her terribly.

"For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved."
Romans 10:13
Romans 10:13
Indeed, our mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend most assuredly did call upon that Name above all names, Jesus Christ, and entered very, very peacefully into His presence today at 2:00 a.m.
Mom did not trust in her works, but in the shed blood and resurrecting power of Christ alone.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
She understood that any supposed goodness she possessed was not enough to merit eternal salvation, because His Word tells us in Isaiah 64:6 that "Our righteousness is as filthy rags", and in Romans 3:12, "There is none that doeth good, no, not one."
Her salvation was and is in Christ, in Christ alone.
Yesterday morning Mom may have eaten the bitter breakfast of suffering through her affliction with cancer, but today she dines at the banqueting table of Christ!
Though we who are left and believe in Jesus Christ mourn, "we do not mourn as those without hope", according to 1 Thessalonians 4:13. Our "weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning", we are told in Psalm 30:5.
Until we meet again, sweet mama, until we meet again... *tears*
Deb, you did a great job putting together the announcement and especially the pictures for the video. I just watched it twice. We know you will miss your mom terribly. But we are so very glad that we got to know her and she was able to visit us here in Virginia. And so thankful that we'll get to see her again one day. We're praying for you all. May the Lord comfort you as only He can. ~ Deb for the family
